A client presents a set of user interfaces within a web browser application operating on the client. The user interfaces enable a user of the client to create and distribute songs. When the user is creating a song, the client generates instrumental data and/or vocals data in response to input received from the user via the user interfaces. The instrumental data represents an instrumental part of a song. The vocals data represents a vocals part of the song. The vocals data is generated using a microphone controlled by the user via the user interfaces. The client generates an audio file using the instrumental data and the vocals data. The audio file comprises a digital audio recording of the song. |
