<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat-type secondary battery high in safety in which occurrence of dense and sparse portions in interlayer gaps between individual wound layers when a compressive stress is applied thereto is suppressed by exerting a counterforce to a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate such that the negative electrode plate, the positive electrode plate and a porous insulator are brought into close contact with one another when forming an electrode group into a flat shape and, in addition, deflection of the electrode plates and increase in thickness of the battery during charge/discharge are suppressed, in the electrode group for the flat-type secondary battery in which the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate are wound into a spiral shape with the porous insulator disposed therebetween. <P>SOLUTION: After forming an electrode group 1 by winding a positive electrode plate 3 and a negative electrode plate 2, with a porous insulator 4 disposed therebetween, this electrode group 1 is formed into a flat shape by applying a compressive stress thereto. Subsequently, a counterforce is exerted on the positive electrode plate 3 and the negative electrode plate 2 such that there are no gaps between the positive electrode plate 3 and the porous insulator 4 and the negative electrode plate 2 which are brought into close contact with one another. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
