PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily identify a control area of different vessels.

SOLUTION: An image-forming unit forms a medical image. Then a decision unit detects the arrival time when a contrast medium reaches a prescribed region in the medical image. The decision unit also establishes a color map that associates arrival times with color phase on the basis of a first influx time corresponding to the first designated region established in the medical image and a second influx time corresponding to the second designated region. Thereafter, a generating unit generates a color phase converted image wherein the color phases have been assigned to each region in the medical image on the basis of the color map and arrival time in each region of the medical image. Then a control unit displays the color phase converted image on the monitor.
