<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a stable laser oscillation by extending a stable operational temperature range in which mode hopping does not occur. <P>SOLUTION: A laser oscillator is provided that comprises an optical circulator that emits light incident from a first port from a second port, emits the light incident from the second port from a third port and emits light incident from a fourth port from the first port; a first optical amplification fiber that amplifies light propagating therein by being excited by excitation light and makes the light emitted from the third port incident into the first port; a reflective optical filter that reflects light with a predetermined wavelength out of the light emitted from the second port to makes it incident again into the second port, while allowing light with the other wavelengths to pass through; and an excitation light source generating excitation light. The reflective optical filter allows the light laser-oscillated in a ring type resonator formed by the first optical amplification fiber, the optical circulator and the reflective optical filter to be passed through for output.
