<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic video display device capable of automatically matching the depth of a video and that of a sound. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic video display device outputs voice signals of a plurality of channels to a plurality of speakers arranged at least in front and rear of a viewer or/and at the front right and front left of the viewer, and displays a right-eye video and a left-eye video at different display positions, thereby allowing a stereoscopic video to be viewed. The stereoscopic video display device calculates the horizontal deviation of the display positions of the right-eye video and the left-eye video (the depth of the video) and generates a predetermined difference between the voice signals of least the two channels (the depth of sound), which corresponds to the calculated deviation of the display positions. For example, it can be considered to vary a sound volume, a reverberation effect, a high-pass attenuation, the reverberation effect of a surround component, the magnitude of the surround component with respect to a plurality of voice signals in reproduction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
