<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement various new communication means to a server-client-model exchanger with ease by making the exchanger cooperate with a P2P (peer-to-peer) model general-purpose communication software by a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: During the telephone call between a first terminal and a second terminal, the first terminal inquires of an exchanger a possible communication method corresponding to a user identifier of the second terminal, an address corresponding to the possible communication method, and a port number corresponding to the possible communication method. The exchanger searches for the user identifier of the second terminal, and searches for a second terminal address corresponding to the user identifier, a possible communication method corresponding to the user identifier, and a port number corresponding to the user identifier and the possible communication method. The exchanger transmits the second terminal address, the possible communication method, and the port number corresponding to the possible communication method to the first terminal.
