<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motorcycle tire capable of maintaining riding comfort and steering stability, and improving rolling resistance performance and drainage performance. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of inclined main grooves 11 each including a main portion 13 extending from the tire equator C side to the tread end 2t side while inclined toward the later reaching side S2 in a tire rotation direction are provided at intervals in a tire circumferential direction on an outer surface 2S of a tread portion 2. The main portion 13 includes a portion 15 extending along the tire equator C or across the tire equator C. The portion 15 on the equator is angled at 20 degrees or less with respect to the tire equator C. In a state that a middle position 15c of the length L1 in the tire circumferential direction of the portion 15 on the equator of the main portion 13 coincides with a middle position 10c of the maximum length L2 in the tire circumferential direction of a ground contacting surface 10, on the ground contacting surface 10 of the tread portion in a straight advancing and ground contacting state, both ends 13i, 13o in the tire circumferential direction of the main portion 13 are positioned outward beyond the ground contacting surface 10.
