<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ruthenium hydride complex capable of efficiently reducing a base-sensitive carbonyl compound. <P>SOLUTION: The ruthenium hydride complex is represented by general formula (1), wherein, with respect to R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>P-W-PR<SP POS="POST">3</SP>R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>, W represents a binaphthyl group which bonds to P atoms at 2- and 2'-positions and may have a substituent at any of other positions, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>to R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>may be the same or different and represent a hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>may combine together to form a carbon chain ring which may have a substituent, and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>may combine together to form a carbon chain ring which may have a substituent; R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>to R<SP POS="POST">8</SP>may be the same or different and represent H or a hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent; Z represents a hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent; and each ligand of Ru may be arbitrarily arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
