<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that eliminates the waviness of paper caused when separated from a transfer belt, and conveys paper in stable position to a fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: A transfer material conveying apparatus is provided including an elastic transfer conveyance belt, and a position-controllable separation supporting protrusion having large curvature in the proximity of a portion where paper separates from a transfer belt.
