<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a vehicle seat that prevents a seat cushion from rising near the hip of an occupant when a seat side garnish is deformed. <P>SOLUTION: Grooved thin portions 54, 56, and 58, whose longitudinal direction is along a vertical direction, are set in front of a hip point of a seat side garnish 42 at predetermined intervals in the front-back direction. When a collision object 72 collides with the seat side garnish 42 and if a load is applied to the seat side garnish 42, stress concentrates at the thin portions 54, 56, and 58, and then, the thin portions are deformed such that the area between the thin portion 54 and the thin portion 56 and the area between the thin portion 56 and the thin portion 58 in the seat side garnish 42 are moved inward in the vehicle-width direction. As a result, a seat cushion 14 is readily rise in front of the hip point so as to prevent or suppress the seat cushion 14 from rising at the hip point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
