The binder exhibits reactive groups comprising hydroxy-, carboxylic acid- and/or amino groups. The binder is polyester with terminal carboxylic acid groups. The powder coating comprises a crosslinking agent, which undergoes crosslinking reaction with the reactive groups of the binder. The binder comprises methyl succinic acid (at least 5 wt.%).
