<p>PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to improve assembility of a battery by assembling accurately without separation to outside, thereby remarkably retraining the generation of crack by forming stepped portions which have different depth each other. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly(110); a can in which an upper opening(124) is formed on the upper part for accepting the electrode assembly; a cap assembly(130) with a cap plate(131) for sealing the top opening of the can; and an insulating case(140) arranged between the electrode assembly and the cap assembly. The can forms a first stepped portion(125) and a second stepped portion(127) in the inner side of top of the can. The depth of the first stepped portion and the depth of the second stepped portion are different each other.</p> |
