<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline manganese secondary battery capable of securing excellent energization to equipment using a battery as power supply without mistakenly charging an alkaline manganese dry cell by a battery charger. <P>SOLUTION: In an AA alkaline manganese secondary battery, a positive electrode 2 and a negative electrode 3 are housed within a battery case 1 integrating a positive electrode terminal 1a. The positive electrode terminal 1a includes an annular base and a substantially columnar protrusion provided in an inside of the base, and is constituted to satisfy the following condition (A) or condition (B).
