<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection system capable of protecting a signal processing circuit from radial rays leaked from a gap of a plurality of detector modules provided side by side, and an X-ray CT apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A radiation detection system 6 structured by erecting one signal processing substrate 130 in a center of two detector modules 100 and 100 provided side by side in a channel direction includes a shield 122 at a position between the detector module 100 and the signal processing substrate 130 and covering a gap which may be generated when providing a plurality of detector modules 100 side by side.
