<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently circulate a heat medium, in an underground heat exchanger for performing heat collection from soil. <P>SOLUTION: The underground heat exchanger is provided with: an underground heat exchanging part (21) which is formed in a pipe shape, has the thermal medium enclosed in a body pipe (22) and, for the first time, performs heat collection in the underground to carry out phase change of the heat medium; a heat storage tank (26) (heat exchanging tank) which has a fluid (L) (liquid fluid) for heat storage therein; a first heat exchanging part (27) disposed in the heat storage tank (26); and a second heat exchanging part (28) arranged on a position in the heat storage tank (26) of the lower side than the first heat exchanging part (27) in the installation state of the heat storage tank (26).
