The invention proceeds from a motor vehicle charging apparatus having at least two charging connections (10a, 11a; 10b, 11b) and having at least one charging unit (12a; 12b) which is provided for the purpose of charging an energy storage means via one of the two charging connections (10a, 11a; 10b, 11b). The invention proposes that the motor vehicle charging apparatus has at least one changeover unit (13a; 13b) which is provided for the purpose of selectively electrically connecting one of the at least two charging connections (10a, 11a; 10b, 11b) to the charging unit (12a; 12b).
