Disclosed is a display device with excellent display quality. A display element (21) has multiple pixels arranged in a prescribed area (A) and emits display light (L). An optical element (22) has a microlens group (22a, 22b) which refracts the display light (L) emitted by the display element (21). The microlens group (22a, 22b) of the optical element (22) is arranged over an area broader than the prescribed area (A). A window unit (23a) is provided through which display light (L) emitted from the optical element (22) passes.
