<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information sharing system that does not acquire unnecessary confidential information by requesting approval in transmitting and receiving information. <P>SOLUTION: The information sharing system includes a transmitter group 20 that generates and transmits confidential information, a receiver group 21 that receives the confidential information, and a sharing server 22 that stores the shared confidential information. The transmitter group 20 includes an information generating terminal 201 that generates the confidential information to request transmission approval, and a transmission approving terminal 202 that determines whether to approve the transmission of the confidential information. The transmission approving terminal 202 transmits the confidential information to the receiver group 21 in response to the transmission request from the information generating terminal 201. The receiver group 21 includes a reception approving terminal 211 that determines whether to approve the reception of the confidential information, and an acceptance terminal 212 that determines whether to approve the reception thereof by checking the contents of the confidential information.
