<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square root operation circuit capable of quickly and accurately performing square root extraction when calculating a control signal of a servo motor, and to provide a control circuit having the square root operation circuit mounted thereon. <P>SOLUTION: A square root operation circuit 1 includes: a subtraction circuit (10) which subtracts a second input value (B) from a first input value (A) to be subjected to square root extraction; a solution calculation circuit (20) which calculates a solution (√ A) obtained by subjecting the first input value to the square root extraction by deviation eliminating operation, while assuming that the subtraction result of the subtraction circuit is a deviation (e) of the second input value with respect to the first input value, and a squared value calculation circuit (30) which squares the operation result of the solution calculation circuit, and outputting the squared value as the second input value to the subtraction circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
