<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric appliance having a controller that supports maintenance and repair work by taking into account the hours of operation and suspension of the appliance and also by coping with maintenance inspection of components involving aging degradation. <P>SOLUTION: The electric appliance having a function of reporting a time of maintenance inspection includes: a controller for controlling each section; a storage section connected to the controller, storeing information about a condition and control of the appliance; an informing section connected to the controller, reporting a condition of the appliance; and a safety device detects a condition of each section of the appliance. The controller is always energized so as to operate the safety device, measuring an aggregate energization time from the start of energization to the electric appliance and writing the aggregate energization time in the storage section.
