<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lead a water product to a secondary gas passage rather than a primary gas passage. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a membrane electrode gas diffusion layer assembly, first and second separator plates sandwiching the membrane electrode gas diffusion layer assembly, a supply manifold for supplying a reactant gas to the membrane electrode gas diffusion layer assembly, and an exhaust manifold for exhausting an exhaust gas from the membrane electrode gas diffusion layer assembly. A surface of the first separator plate contacting a gas diffusion layer, is equipped with a supply channel forming a primary gas passage for the reactant gas connected to the supply manifold, an exhaust channel forming a secondary gas passage for the exhaust gas connected to the exhaust manifold, and a channel partition separating the supply channel and the exhaust channel. The resistance to the water flow between a first catalyst layer and the primary gas passage is greater than the resistance between the first catalyst layer and the secondary gas passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
