<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a composite image in which subjects imaged at different times are present on a substantially common background. <P>SOLUTION: A pickup image acquisition section 61 acquires pickup image data. A reference image acquisition section 62 acquires Kth reference image data. A display control section 51 controls a display section 19 to display the pickup image, which is a through image, with the reference image superimposed thereon. A differential image generation section 63 differentiates the pickup image data acquired for Kth recording pickup from the reference image data acquired at the beginning to generate differential image data. A composition section 64 composites the differential image data with the Kth reference image data to generate Kth composite image data.
