FLEXIBLE PIPE FOR GAS TRANSPORTATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible pipe for gas transportation suppressing permeation of gas to an external part of the flexible pipe even when used on conditions of middle pressure A to high pressure and having excellent lightness in weight and flexibility.

SOLUTION: A pipe body 3 is positioned in the innermost layer of a gas piping 1. The pipe body 3 is made of resin e.g. polyethylene. A shielding layer 5 is flexibly provided on an outer circumference of the pipe body 3 for flexibility. The shielding layer 5 is used for shielding permeation of gas to further outer circumferential side when the gas flowing in the inner part of the pipe body 3 permeates through the pipe body 3. The inner surface of the shielding layer 5 adheres to the outer surface of the pipe body 3 so that a gap and the like may not be formed. A reinforcing layer 7 is provided on the outer circumference of the shielding layer 5. The reinforcing layer 7 is a reinforcing layer to internal pressure of the gas flowing in the pipe body 3. A protective layer 9 is provided on the outer circumference of the reinforcing layer 7. The protective layer 9 is used for preventing damage of the reinforcing layer upon construction and handling and preventing infiltration of water into the reinforcing layer and the like. The protective layer 9 is made of e.g. a low density polyethylene.
