<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil separation structure in a crankcase, suited to inhibit splashing of oil. <P>SOLUTION: Oil separation walls 6 of a vehicle engine are provided between a crankshaft 3 of the vehicle engine and an oil pan 4 for storing lubricating oil. The oil separation walls 6 are arranged to lie before right and left inner wall faces of a case member 5 connecting to right and left side walls of the oil pan 4. Oil in the oil pan 4, which moves in the right and left direction by a lateral acceleration from the right and left direction to the axis of the crankshaft 3, is introduced into spaces between the inner wall faces of the case member 5 and the oil separation walls 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
