CHOLESTERIC LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL ALIGNING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cholesteric liquid crystal display having high alignment uniformity of the liquid crystal by including a liquid crystal alignment film having a superior liquid crystal aligning performance, to provide a method for manufacturing the cholesteric liquid crystal display, and to provide a liquid crystal aligning agent used for forming the liquid crystal alignment film.

SOLUTION: The cholesteric liquid crystal display includes a pair of substrates facing to each other, a cholesteric liquid crystal disposed in each of a plurality of regions segmented in a direction perpendicular to each of the substrates between the substrates, and a liquid crystal alignment film deposited between each of the substrates and the cholesteric liquid crystal. At least the liquid crystal alignment film on one side is formed of a radiation-sensitive liquid crystal aligning agent.
