PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a state of charge of a battery mounted on an electronic device such as a wireless device or the like to a charger to perform an optimum charging of a spare battery in the charger.

SOLUTION: A charging system has an electronic device which can be driven by a battery or a spare battery and on which the battery is mounted, and a charger for charging the spare battery. In the charging system, the electronic device has transmission means which transmits data indicating a state of power of the battery to the charger. The charger has reception means which receives the data transmitted from the transmission means, and charging management means which charges the spare battery according to the data received by the reception means.
