<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect a change in the concentration of fuel injected from a fuel injection valve to air-fuel ratio control with higher accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: In a controller for controlling an internal combustion engine in which mixed fuel mixed of hydrocarbon fuel and alcohol is usable as engine fuel, single component concentration in the mixed fuel is detected as detection concentration according to the output of a concentration sensor, and an estimation value of the single component concentration in the mixed fuel just before being injected from the fuel injection valve is calculated as estimation concentration according to a volume of fuel piping between a concentration detection position of the concentration sensor and the fuel injection valve. Accumulated fuel injection quantity between a first changing point recognized that detection concentration has stated simple increase or simple decrease and a second changing point recognized that exhaust gas concentration of the internal combustion engine has started simple increase or simple decrease is calculated as fuel consumption quantity. Fuel injection quantity injected from the fuel injection valve is corrected according to the difference between a volume from a fuel sensor to the fuel injection valve and the fuel consumption quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
