PURPOSE: A data processing apparatus and method thereof are provided to enable a user to watch broadcasting in real time by rapidly and effectively providing multimedia data to an external apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(402) forms a wireless network with an external terminal(500) based on a multimedia streaming request information. A control unit(401) creates a list which displays multimedia content according to the multimedia streaming request information. The control unit transmits the created list to the external apparatus. The control unit transmits the streaming data corresponding to first multimedia content in the list to the external apparatus in real time.
