<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the state of clothes in a rotary drum during a drying operation in a stepwise manner. <P>SOLUTION: A clothes dryer includes: first and second pairs of electrodes 8 and 9 provided so as to be in contact with clothes in a rotary drum 2; first and second resistance detecting means 10 and 11 for detecting a resistance value between the first pair of electrodes 8 and a resistance value between the second pair of electrodes 9, respectively; first and second low-pass filters 12 and 13 connected to the first and second resistance detecting means 10 and 11, respectively; signal waveform combining means 14 connected to the first and second low-pass filters 12 and 13; frequency analyzing means 15 connected to the signal waveform combining means 14; and calculating means 16 connected to the frequency analyzing means 15. The calculating means 16 uses the signal waveform combining means 14 to combine the respective detection signals in the first and second pairs of electrodes 8 and 9, and subjects the combined signal waveform to frequency analysis, thereby determining the drying state of the clothes in the rotary drum 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
