<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge check method and apparatus, and a drawing method and device, capable of easily carrying out discharge check of a droplet discharge head which discharges a liquid body as a droplet, by easily detecting the liquid body which is hard to detect. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge check method is the discharge check method in the drawing device with a discharge nozzle which discharges the drawing liquid body as the droplet, and includes: a detecting liquid arranging process which arranges detecting liquid body on an inspection drawing medium; a drawing liquid arranging process which discharges the droplet of the liquid body for drawing from the discharge nozzle, and makes the droplet reach on the inspection drawing medium; and a detection process which detects the states of the drawing liquid body and the detecting liquid body arranged on the inspection drawing medium. The drawing liquid arranging process is implemented while the arranged detecting liquid body is in a flowable state.
