YARN FOR WEAVING OR KNITTING AND WOVEN OR KNITTED FABRIC USING THE SAME, AND INORGANIC FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate formation of an inorganic fiber-reinforced synthetic resin molded article by suppressing fuzzing or falling-off of fibers due to fiber breakage so-called scattering of cotton flies, or the like during weaving or knitting.

SOLUTION: A production method of yarn for weaving or knitting comprises: arranging a high melting point thermoplastic synthetic fiber and a low melting point thermoplastic synthetic fiber having a melting point lower than that of the high melting point thermoplastic synthetic fiber around an inorganic fiber; heating them; and joining the inorganic fiber with the high melting point thermoplastic synthetic fiber by the melted low melting point thermoplastic synthetic fiber. A woven or knitted fabric (5) is produced using the yarn for weaving or knitting and a second yarn for weaving or knitting composed of a thermoplastic synthetic fiber. The woven or knitted fabric (5) is placed in a mold (6), is heated to melt the thermoplastic synthetic fibers and then is cooled to solidify.
