<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer for electrostatic latent image development, capable of improving transfer efficiency in a high-speed full-color image forming method, eliminating image defects in each transfer process and outputting an image with high reproducibility for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The developer contains a carrier and toner. The carrier comprises magnetic core particles and a resin layer coating the surface of each core particle, and the resin layer contains a resin prepared by heat treating an acrylate resin with an acrylate resin having a siloxane bond and a silanol precursor at 100°C to 230°C. The toner is obtained through a toner surface treatment by heating a dispersion liquid at a heating temperature (T1), the dispersion liquid prepared by dispersing toner base particles in an aqueous medium containing a surfactant. The concentration of the surfactant is 0.1 to 2.0 times as a critical micelle concentration of the surfactant, and the heating temperature (T1) is controlled to be lower by at most 10°C and higher by less than 10°C than the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the toner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
