<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffer mechanism that has a simple configuration and control for correcting the meandering of continuous paper during an image forming process without affecting the miniaturization of an apparatus, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The buffer mechanism part 25 includes: a buffer member 1 contacting with the entire width of the continuous paper 31; a pair of arm members 2 fixed at one end thereof to both ends of the buffer member 1; a freely rotatable spindle 3 for supporting the other end of each of the arm members 2; and biasing devices 4 for applying, to the buffer member 1, biasing power toward the direction in which the buffer member 1 and the continuous paper 31 contact with each other. The buffer mechanism is provided for applying tension to the continuous paper 31 carried in during an image forming operation. The buffer mechanism part is provided with a meandering correction mechanism for correcting the meandering of the continuous paper 31 by sliding the buffer member 1 at the plane parallel with the continuous paper 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
