APPARATUS FOR TRIMMING EDGES OF STACK OF PAPERS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for trimming the edges of a stack of paper sheets which trims the paper sheets at high positional accuracy and has a simple structure and control, and to provide an image forming system.

SOLUTION: A pressing portion presses a booklet to a booklet supporting portion which is used for supporting the booklet to be conveyed to a predetermined position, so that the booklet is held between the booklet supporting portion and the pressing portion. The held booklet is moved to a trimming position and trimmed. The trimmed booklet of a held state is retreated from the trimming position and turned at a retreated position by 90°.
