The invention relates to a composition for coloring keratin fibers, comprising, in a suitable medium for dyeing keratin fibers: - one or more oxidation bases selected from the compound of formula (I) and the acid addition salts thereof; and - one or more specific amino acids. The invention also relates to a dyeing method in which said composition is used and in which the aforementioned dyeing composition is applied to the fibers with or without an oxidizing agent. The invention further relates to devices including a plurality of compartments.
