<p>A method for distributing Enhanced Dedicated Channel (E-DCH) Radio Network Temporary Identifiers (ERNTIs) is provided in the present invention. A UE accesses a cell using a public E-DCH channel; when receiving the first packet of Common Control Channel (CCCH) data transmitted by the UE when the UE accesses or switches to the cell, a NodeB distributes an ERNTI for the UE; and the ERNTI is used by the UE until the UE is released or leaves the present accessing cell. A system for distributing ERNTIs is also provided in the present invention. In the condition that a UE accesses a cell using a public E-DCH channel, a distribution unit in the system is used for distributing an ERNTI for the UE when the NodeB receives the first packet of CCCH data transmitted by the UE when the UE accesses or switches to the cell; and the ERNTI is used by the UE until the UE is released or leaves the present accessing cell. With the present invention, the complexity of ERNTI distribution is reduced, and the utilization of the ERNTI is improved.</p> |
