The intercom (10) has +- 24 volts voltage lines (16,18) that are guided over interfacing charging box (26) and laid between cab (12) and structure (14) of vehicle for charging battery (36) in superstructure by using alternator (40). An emergency signal probe system has distress signal switch (28) in structure and buzzer (30) and/or signal lamp in cab. A hand-held device (22) in cab and handheld device (24) in structure of the vehicle are connected to voltage lines for receiving power and direct current (DC) electrical signal line (20) between cab and main portion, for communication.
