<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscopic device capable of reducing a variation in each light emission when emitting a small amount of light and suppressing damage to a flush discharge tube when emitting a large amount of light. <P>SOLUTION: A stroboscopic device 34 comprises: a flush discharge tube 2; a plurality of trigger external electrodes 26 to 33 provided on the outer surface of the flush discharge tube 2; a trigger circuit 8 to output a trigger signal so that the flush discharge tube 2 emits light at a predetermined timing; a switching section 35 to switch between a first mode for selecting an application of voltage to the trigger external electrodes 26 to 33 determined so as to have a predetermined installation area in the flush discharge tube 2, from among the plurality of trigger external electrodes 26 to 33, and a second mode for selecting an application of voltage to the trigger external electrodes 26 to 33 determined so as to have a larger area than the predetermined installation area; and a control section 7 to control an output of the trigger signal by the trigger circuit 8 as well as a switching operation between the first mode and the second mode by the switching section 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
