RECEIVER, CHANNEL INFORMATION COMPRESSION METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a reduction efficiency related to a data amount of channel information when the data amount of a plurality of pieces of channel information is reduced to be transmitted from a receiver to a transmitter, in the case that a signal is transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver via a plurality of communication channels.

SOLUTION: A receiver has: a conversion preprocessing part 40 having a channel correlation value calculator that calculates a correlation value to a combination of pieces of channel information corresponding to a plurality of communication channels respectively, and a conversion input data generator that sets a combination of pieces of channel information that are determined to have a large correlation based on the correlation value as conversion input data; a time-frequency domain conversion part 41 that converts the time-domain conversion input data into frequency-domain conversion input data; and an information compression part 42 that compresses frequency component information included in the conversion output data. The data after information compression and information for separating the channel information included in the conversion input data are transmitted to a transmitter.
