<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image tube that adjusts a brightness value of a visible light image to be output to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: The image tube includes: an input part having a photocathode capable of emitting electrons; an output part which is arranged opposite the input part and converts input electrons into light; a focusing electrode and an anode which accelerate and focus, and input the electrons emitted from the photocathode to the output part; a vacuum envelope which has an output window 52 facing the output part and houses the input part, output part, focusing electrode, and anode; an optical plate which is positioned outside the vacuum envelope and provided on the output window; and an adjustment film.
