<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installer and installation method in which a setting error or the like is reduced by eliminating the need of an operation for a user to input settings in the case of installation as further as possible, and a plurality of software items can be installed. <P>SOLUTION: An installer includes: a plurality of execution files for executing installation correspondingly to a plurality of software items to be installed; and a setting file having specification information specifying an execution file to execute installation among the plurality of execution files and install information for each execution file describing information to be referenced by the execution file in the case of installation. The installer is activated by user operation, then reads the setting file, and starts while specifying an execution file to execute installation from the specification information of the setting file and causes the started execution file to execute the installation of corresponding software by referring to the corresponding install information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
