<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying apparatus capable of suppressing overlapped feeding and a fall in productivity in the case of continuously conveying a plurality of sheets, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Two paper feeding units each including a dielectric belt and an electrode member serving as a charging member are arranged side by side in a sheet conveying direction. When conveying a sheet by one paper feeding unit, the sheet is conveyed so that the other paper feeding unit is upstream in the sheet conveying direction from the one paper feeding unit. Consequently, when conveying the plurality of sheets continuously, the dielectric belt of the other paper feeding unit can abut on the sheet to be conveyed next during sheet conveyance by the one paper feeding unit. Overlapped feeding can thereby be suppressed, and productivity when continuously conveying the plurality of sheets can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
