<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that has a simple configuration for carrying out skew correction and misregistration correction in the width direction to a sheet at one side of which an image is formed. <P>SOLUTION: The skew of a sheet is corrected before a position in the width direction is detected by a first sensor SN1 by a skew correction unit comprising a conveying roller 5 before inversion and an inversion roller 6. The inversion roller 6 is moved based on a signal from the first sensor SN1 that has detected the position in the width direction of the sheet in which skew is corrected before the sheet switched back by the inversion roller 6 reaches a conveying roller 7 after inversion so that the side edge position of the sheet is brought in line with a reference position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
