Provided is an optical network unit for an optical path network with which it is possible to drastically reduce the scale of an optical switch matrix. In a drop-side optical network unit (10d), after one wavelength division multiplexing light selected from a plurality of wavelength division multiplexing lights transmitted via an input-side optical fiber is demultiplexed into a plurality of wavelength groups configuring the same, a wavelength group including a drop wavelength is selected from the plurality of wavelength groups, the one wavelength group is demultiplexed into a plurality of light paths configuring the same, and a wavelength that caused the drop is selected from the plurality of light paths; therefore, a selecting unit for wavelength group selection and wavelength selection is configured through compact switch combination, it is possible to achieve colorless, directionless and contentionless function, and the size of an optical network unit (10) is drastically reduced. |
