<p>The method involves lighting a lamp (Lp1) by providing sufficient lighting voltage. Two operating points are adjusted with different lamp powers after lighting the lamp, where different-lamp powers are smaller than minimum nominal power of all to-be-differentiated lamps. Operational parameters e.g. lamp currents and lamp voltages, are determined with the respective lamp powers after reaching the respective operating points. The operating points are adjusted with respect to the lamp powers for the lamp differentiation. An independent claim is also included for a multi-lamp operation apparatus for differentiating and operating a high-intensity discharge (HID) lamp.</p> |
