COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING/IMPROVING DISEASE RESULTING FROM OXIDATION STRESS, AND APPLICATION OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composition for preventing/improving lifestyle-related diseases resulting from oxidation stress, and a method of producing the composition.

SOLUTION: This composition is used as a composition for oral intake containing a processed product of oyster meat as an active ingredient. The composition contains omega-3 highly-unsaturated fatty acid and taurine as the main active ingredient. This composition effectively takes effect further when its superoxide anion-scavenging capacity is 450 μg/mL or less in terms of IC 50 value, its hydroxyl radical-scavenging capacity is 300 μg/mL or less in terms of IC 50 value, and its singlet oxygen-scavenging capacity is 200(50 s-1) μg/mL or less.
