<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of reliably fixing a light source module to a heat sink in a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: The light source module 60 is interposed and fixed between a fixing plate 32 of the heat sink 30 and a pressing plate 40. The fixing plate 32 and the pressing plate 40 are fixed by engaging engagement pawls 47 set in projection on the pressing plate 40 to peripheral edges of engagement holes 34 arranged at corresponding locations of the fixing plate 32 to be inserted into the engagement holes 34. Each engagement pawl 47 has a pair of elastic legs which are lined adjacently with each other and can be elastically deformed in a lined direction, and pawl sections respectively projected from the elastic legs in a reverse direction.
