<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a sheet peeling method stably peeling two or more kinds of sheets. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a conveyance path where: a surface property modifying sheet for modifying the surface property of an image formed on a medium to be recorded is arranged between the medium to be recorded and a thermal transfer sheet having a dye layer for forming the image on the medium to be recorded and a protective layer for protecting the image formed on the medium to be recorded; and the medium to be recorded, the surface property modifying sheet and the thermal transfer sheet which are brought into tight-contact with each other by image forming processing for forming and protecting the image on the medium to be recorded and surface property modifying processing for modifying the surface property of the image are conveyed. The image forming apparatus further includes in the conveyance path, a first peeling member for peeling the medium to be recorded, and the surface property modifying sheet and the thermal transfer sheet, and a second peeling member for peeling the surface property modifying sheet and the thermal transfer sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
