<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic multilayer PTC thermistor having excellent PTC characteristics and high reliability at a low manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: The ceramic multilayer PTC thermistor 100 comprises a ceramic element 10 having a plurality of ceramic layers 12 and internal electrodes 14 between adjoining ceramic layers 12, and external electrodes 30 on the end faces 10a, 10b of the ceramic element 10. A glass layer 20 is provided on the surfaces 10c, 10d of the ceramic element 10. The glass layer 20 contains an oxide of either zinc and/or bismuth as a main constituent, and the content of alkaline oxide in the glass layer is 0.8 wt% or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
