The invention relates to a Magnus rotor comprising: a support member which is disposed inside the Magnus rotor; a rotor which rotates about the support member when the Magnus rotor is in operation; a mounting system which supports the rotor on the support member; and a heating device which is disposed inside the support member in order to generate heated air. In its outer side the support member has at least one aperture which connects the interior of the support member to the space between the latter and the rotor such that air can pass between said interior and space. |
